FDLE arrests woman for harboring an escaped prisoner

 
Palm Beach, Fla - As a result of a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation of a prison escape, Leandre Bekencia, 24, was arrested on April 6 in Orange County for her actions in assisting an escaped inmate.

Antwan F. Anglin escaped from a Palm Beach Department of Corrections Community Facility after he was transferred from the South Bay Correctional Institution. Bekencia was a kitchen employee at South Bay Correctional Institution. She assisted Anglin with obtaining a hotel room after she knew he had escaped.

Bekencia was charged Thursday in Palm Beach County with harboring an escaped prisoner.
The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 15th Judicial Circuit.
