Three arrested for pharmacy burglaries

 
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with members of the Burglary Apprehension Team Task Force, and Miami Gardens and Miramar Police Departments arrested three suspects accused of burglarizing potentially dozens of South Florida pharmacies.

Darrish Bernard Martin, 24, Bryan Pitter, 26, and Alonzo Hinson, 24, are charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and grand theft after burglarizing a pharmacy located at 18300 NW 37 Avenue in Miami Gardens, Florida early Tuesday. Additional charges may be added.

Investigators believe the trio could be responsible for as many as 40 pharmacy burglaries in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties stealing prescription pain killers and selling the drugs.

Martin, Pitter and Hinson were arrested and booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Office of Statewide Prosecution will prosecute the case.
