Holiday man arrested for child pornography

HOLIDAY, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement with the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Alexander Frank Mauro, 45, of 3220 Coldwell Drive, Holiday, Fla., for ten counts of child pornography and one count of possession with intent to promote child pornography.

The investigation was initiated by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victims Unit. FDLE assumed the investigation due to jurisdictional boundaries. FDLE and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, along with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Petersburg Police Department served a search warrant at Mauro’s residence yesterday and found child pornography on a computer in the residence.

Mauro was booked into the Pasco County Jail on Thursday and is being held on $65,000 bond. The Office of the State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.
