April 3, 2015

ORLANDO, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Chadd Arthur Thomason, 24, on charges of possession of credit card making equipment, fraudulent use of scanning device, unlawful possession of personal identification information and possession of a firearm by a felon.  Thomason was arrested yesterday following a search warrant at his residence, 5444 Regal Oak Circle, Orlando, Fla.

During the search, agents found 43 lead sheets containing personal information along with equipment to make fraudulent credit cards.  Agents believe Thomason purchased the lead sheets and are working to determine who he bought them from.

The investigation began in January 2015 after FDLE agents received information from the Delaware (Ohio) Police Department.  Police were investigating fraudulent credit cards used to purchase engines from a local company.  After the fraudulent purchases, the engines were shipped to Central Florida.

Thomason was booked into the Orange County Jail.  This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 9th Judicial Circuit.  The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is urged to contact FDLE’s Orlando Regional Operations Center at (800) 226-8521.
