Linda McDonald appointed FDLE public information officer

TALLAHASSEE - Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda McDonald to the position of communications coordinator in the Office of External Affairs. In this role, Ms. McDonald will serve as a FDLE spokesperson and will be responsible for coordinating news releases, interviews, press conferences and internal communications.

 
Ms. McDonald has an extensive background in communications, health care, insurance and risk management and business, most recently as a state purchasing operations communications analyst with MyFloridaMarketPlace. She has also served as the communications deputy director and communications director for the Florida Department of Management Services. 
 
Before moving to Tallahassee in 2007, Ms. McDonald was the communications director for First Professionals Insurance Company in Jacksonville. A North Dakota native, Ms. McDonald moved to Florida in 2003.
 
She holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota and earned her Associate in Risk Management designation in 1997.
