What is a Fusion Center?

A fusion center is a collaborative effort of two or more agencies that provide resources, expertise, and/or information to the fusion center with the goal of maximizing the ability to detect, prevent, apprehend and respond to all crimes hazards. The Florida Fusion Center (FFC) headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida is the states designated fusion center. The Tampa Bay Regional Intelligence Center (TBRIC) is a regional node of the FFC that opened in January of 2018.

TBRIC serves eight counties in the Tampa Bay Area including: Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter. TBRIC acts as collectors, creators, and multi-directional conduits of relevant information that are vetted, analyzed, and appropriately disseminated to ensure situational awareness and multi-jurisdictional connectivity.
