Online Mandatory Training

Victims of Sexual Offenses

The 2021 Florida Legislature passed House Bill 1189, creating s. 943.1724, F.S. This bill requires the CJSTC to create instruction for law enforcement recruits and current officers on the response to sexual offenses. All law enforcement officers must complete the training as a part of basic recruit training or as a part of mandatory retraining before July 1, 2024. The course is a one-time training and may count for 2 hours toward the officers’ 40 hours of mandatory retraining.

Important message: Once you complete the course, you will be asked to enter your name and email address. Your proof of completion will be sent to the email address you enter. You may use any email address. You will print that email and submit it to your agency’s designated training coordinator.
