Identify and Investigate Human Trafficking for Law Enforcement Officers

Florida Statute 943.17297 requires all law enforcement officers to complete four (4) hours of training in identifying and investigating human trafficking. Current officers must complete the training by July 1, 2022. Newly certified officers must complete the training within one (1) year of employment in a sworn position. This course meets the requirements of s. 943.17297. The training is a one-time training and may count towards the officers’ 40 hours of mandatory retraining.

Once you have competed this online course, please enter you name and email address. Your proof of completion will be sent to the email address you enter. You will print that email and submit it to your agency’s designated training coordinator. Your agency will then be responsible for entering your completion into ATMS according to guidance provided in Technical Memorandum 2020-08.
