Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation (FMCDF)

The Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation (FMCDF) is a 501 (c) (3), nonprofit corporation, established in 2008 pursuant to F.S. 683.231. The purpose of the FMCDF is to provide assistance, funding, and promotional support for activities authorized for Florida Missing Children's Day (FMCD).

The mission of the foundation and of the FMCD event held each year is to raise awareness about Florida's missing children and to educate the public on child safety and abduction prevention. Law enforcement officers and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the missing persons issue are also recognized.

The Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation supports the annual FMCD Ceremony, which is held the second Monday in September of each year and is designated as FMCD in remembrance of Florida's past and present missing children and in recognition of our state's continued efforts to protect the safety of children through prevention, education, and community involvement.
