FDLE Announces the Arrest of the Flomaton Alabama Police Chief

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Pensacola Regional Operations Center and the Office of the State Attorney (SAO), First Judicial Circuit arrested Geoffrey Ashley McGraw, 30, of Flomaton, Ala. for one count of false imprisonment. McGraw is the Chief of Police in Flomaton, Alabama.
FDLE began investigating McGraw in August 2011 after receiving information that Chief McGraw arrested Ronald Adam Barrow for an outstanding Alabama arrest warrant. The arrest of Barrow took place in Florida, where McGraw does not have jurisdiction to make arrests.

As a result of the information, FDLE and the SAO confirmed the unlawful arrest occurred inside of Florida. This information was used to secure an arrest warrant for McGraw.
McGraw subsequently turned himself in Thursday at the Escambia County Jail and his bond was set at $5,000.

The Office of State Attorney William “Bill” Eddins 1st Judicial Circuit will prosecute the case.
