MEDIA ADVISORY: State, federal agency leaders announce the results of Operation Highway Shield

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Commissioner Mark Glass, along with representatives from U.S. Department of Transportation - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - Office of Agriculture Law Enforcement (OALE), Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), are holding a media availability to announce the results of Operation Highway Shield four‑day, statewide enforcement initiative that targeted commercial vehicle safety violations, criminal activity, and threats to Florida’s transportation network.
