Madison PD, FDLE arrest man for homicide

MADISON, Fla. – Investigators with Madison Police Department, along with FDLE agents, arrested De’Vante Jaquan Washington, 25, of Madison for homicide after the shooting death of 23-year-old Quantavious Damariuse Wilson.
Investigators say Washington and another man had a physical altercation over a bicycle before 9 this morning in Madison Heights. Mr. Wilson stepped in to break up the fight. After the fight ended, Washington left, retrieved a gun and shot Mr. Wilson, who passed away at the scene.
Washington fled on foot but turned himself into the police station around 3:40 this afternoon. He was booked into the Madison County Jail and additional charges are pending. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 3rd Judicial Circuit.
