Victim/Witness Protection Reimbursement Program

This page is provided for agencies wishing to receive reimbursement funding for Victim/Witness Protection requests. The links included with this page will assist agencies in determining what case criteria is required in order to obtain reimbursement funding from the Council. Funding procedures provide an explanation of what steps an agency must take to present their requests for funding. In addition, this page includes the Victim/Witness Protection Reimbursement Program application that can be printed out for the agency’s case package.

NOTE: The Florida Department of Law Enforcement does not provide witness protection services. If you feel like your life is in danger, please contact your local Police Department or Sheriff’s Office.


The Violent Crime and Drug Control Council’s (VCDCC) Victim/Witness Protection (VWP) Reimbursement Program is funded in the amount of $50,000 for the State of Florida’s 2021/2022 Fiscal Year (FY). Effective July 1, 2021, the Council will accept VWP reimbursement requests for the 2021/2022 FY. It should be noted, other categories of the VCDCC were not funded.
