2022 Success Stories

January 2022—Collier County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 87-year-old male. Law enforcement recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

January 2022—Sumter County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 81-year-old male. A Sumter County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

February 2022—Brevard County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 81-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

February 2022—Collier County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 84-year-old male. The Florida Highway Patrol was responding to a vehicle crash. The Florida Highway Patrol trooper recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

February 2022—Sumter County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 64-year-old male. The subject of the alert saw his vehicle information displayed on the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

April 2022—Lake County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male. A Lake County Sheriff’s deputy ran the license plate of a disabled vehicle and recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

April 2022—Sumter County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 88-year-old male. A citizen was driving behind the vehicle, recognized it from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign, and called law enforcement.

May 2022—Citrus County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 95-year-old male. Law enforcement recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

May 2022—Hillsborough County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 72-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

May 2022—Broward County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 79-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

November 2022—Palm Beach County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 80-year-old male. An Indian River Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police.
