For Immediate Release
October 2, 2018

AVON PARK, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Theodore Allan Ross, 60, of 1981 North Cardinal Road, Avon Park for 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

In September, an undercover operation identified persons who were using the Internet to send and receive videos and images of child pornography. Yesterday, FDLE agents, with assistance from the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Ross’ home. During the search, agents seized several computer related media devices from Ross’ bedroom.
FDLE agents conducted on scene forensic examinations of the devices and recovered numerous images of child pornography which depicted children younger than five years of age, including toddlers, engaged in various sex acts.

Ross was booked into the Highlands County Jail yesterday. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 10th Judicial Circuit. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of computer forensic examinations.
