Registered sex offender awaiting trial arrested on child pornography charges

ORLANDO, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Orlando Cyber Crime Task Force arrested Michael Jonathan Holmes, 34, of 6209 Curry Ford Road, Apt. 10, on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

Holmes is a registered sex offender based on a lewd and lascivious conviction in 2003. In December 2016, Holmes was arrested for possession of child pornography. He had been out on bond awaiting his trial, which is scheduled for February 5th.

After receiving a tip that an online storage service was used to upload images of child pornography, FDLE agents began an investigation. The investigation showed that an IP address associated with Holmes was used to upload the images. Two digital devices were seized during the execution of a search warrant and will be further analyzed to extract the contents.

Holmes was taken to the Orange County Jail on a no-bond status. The Office of the State Attorney, 9th Judicial Circuit, will prosecute.
