FDLE arrests two men for possession of child pornography

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Orlando Regional Operations Center Special Agents arrested two men on possession of child pornography charges.
 
Kenneth Darby Cushman II, 31, of 161 12th Street SE, Vero Beach, Fla. was arrested on Feb. 4, 2015 on 72 counts of possession of child pornography.
 
Agents began investigating Cushman after receiving information that child pornography was being downloaded and shared from a computer within his residence.  FDLE agents executed a search warrant at the residence yesterday and located numerous images of child pornography on a computer belonging to Cushman.  Cushman was taken into custody and booked into the Indian River County Jail with no bond.  This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 19th Judicial Circuit.  The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Homeland Security Investigations assisted in this enforcement action.  
 
In a separate arrest, Rodrigo Alejandro Alvarez, 28, of 2341 Lake Debra Dr., Apartment 2514, Orlando, Fla. was arrested on 12 counts of possession of child pornography.  Agents with the FDLE Cyber Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at his home and located numerous images of child pornography on Alvarez’s computer.  Alvarez was booked into the Orange County Jail with no bond.  This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 9th Judicial Circuit. 
 
Both investigations remain ongoing and additional charges are expected.
