FDLE arrests St. Petersburg man for possession of child pornography

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center yesterday arrested William Eichenberger, 58, of 5685 35th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Fla. on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. 
 
FDLE Agents began investigating Eichenberger in August 2014 after identifying a computer at his residence sharing child pornography.  Eichenberger was previously employed as a school bus driver for the Pinellas County School District. 
 
The TBROC Cyber/High-Tech Crime Task Force served a search warrant at Eichenberger’s residence and located numerous files depicting child pornography. 
 
Eichenberger was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on $200,000 bond.  This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit.
 
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victims Unit, and St. Petersburg Police Department assisted in this investigation.
