FDLE arrests two in Halloween operation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, today arrested two offenders, a sex offender and a violent career offender, for registration violations. 
 
Agents arrested Delwyn Chatman, 37, 1606 Arizona Street, Tallahassee, Fla., after the sex offender failed to register his e-mail address in accordance with Florida laws. 
 
Henry Lynn, 38, 1551 Kay Ave., Apt. 2, Tallahassee, Fla., turned himself in on a warrant for failure to update his driver’s license.  Lynn is a career offender. 
 
The Florida Career Offender Registration Act began in 2002. The act requires career offenders to register their addresses with local sheriff’s offices to be maintained in a registry accessible to law enforcement and the public at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/coflyer/home.asp

Florida’s Sex Offender Registry began in 1997. Florida laws require sexual offenders to register their addresses with local sheriff’s offices to be maintained publically on-line at http://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/Search.jsp
 
Both suspects were booked into the Leon County Jail and will be prosecuted by the Office of State Attorney, 2nd Judicial Circuit.
