FDLE arrests Alva man for child pornography

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber High-Tech Crime Task Force arrested James “Jamie” Gardner, 48, of Lehigh Acres, Fla. on possession of child pornography, a second degree felony.   

On Sept. 11, 2014, FDLE Agents served a search warrant at Gardner’s former home, 533 Paloma Ave., Lehigh Acres, and seized several digital devices.   After examination, numerous child pornography videos were found including videos depicting sexual battery involving children.  

On Oct. 27, 2014, agents arrested Gardner at his new residence, 2106 McArthur Ave. in Alva, Fla.  He was booked into the Lee County Jail. 

The task force consists of law enforcement officers from FDLE, Homeland Security Investigations and the Fort Myers Police Department.
