St. Petersburg man arrested for child pornography

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center arrested James Edward Cooper, 49, of St. Petersburg, Fla., for three counts of child pornography. The Tampa Bay Cyber Task Force, including St. Petersburg Police Department, Pasco County Sheriff's Office, and DHS/Homeland Security Investigations, assisted FDLE.  Cooper will be booked into the Pinellas County Jail today.

 
A search warrant executed at Cooper’s home, located at 1169 24th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, Fla., revealed numerous computers and digital storage devices that will undergo further forensic testing.
 
The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit.
