Two Lakeland Men Charged With Producing Counterfeit Florida Driver’s Licenses

 
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center and the Office of the State Attorney 10th JudicialCircuit announce the charging of XXXXXXX, 20, and Philippe Jude Lamour, 20, both of Lakeland, Fla, for creating and selling counterfeit Florida driver’s licenses.

 
The investigation began in April when a Lakeland retail establishment contacted law enforcement after confiscating a counterfeit Florida driver’s license from an underage individual who was attempting to purchase liquor.  Investigators were able to locate and interview approximately 21 underage local college students who had obtained counterfeit Florida driver’s licenses from XXXXXX and Lamour.
 
The counterfeit licenses were all obtained in the student’s true names with their dates of births and addresses changed. The students paid XXXXXX and Lamour $100 for the fake licenses which were obtained to gain entry into lounges or clubs in order to consume alcoholic beverages.
 
XXXXXX was charged with 14 counts of unauthorized possession of, and other unlawful acts in relation to driver’s license or identification card, all third degree felonies.  Lamour was charged with one count of unauthorized possession of, and other unlawful acts in relation to driver’s license or identification card, a third degree felony, and one count of unauthorized possession of, and other unlawful acts in relation to driver’s license or identification card, a first degree misdemeanor.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
