FDLE Announces Additional Charge Against Scott Bush

For Immediate Release
April 13, 2011
Today the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Orlando Regional Operations Center announced an additional felony charge has been filed against Scott Frederick Bush, 50, of Windermere, Fla. Bush was previously arrested by FDLE on Jan. 12 for sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age and lewd and lascivious acts upon a minor.  He is now additionally charged with sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.

The additional charge is a result of the ongoing investigation and involved a second juvenile victim. The allegations resulted in the issuance of a warrant on April 11 by the 9th Judicial Circuit Office of the State Attorney. Bush was arrested last night by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
FDLE began its investigation in July 2010 after receiving information that former Windermere Chief of Police Dan Saylor terminated an investigation by his department into the sexual battery of a child to keep, his friend, Bush, from going to jail. Saylor was also arrested by FDLE on Jan. 12.
The Office of State Attorney Lawson Lamar, 9th Judicial Circuit, will prosecute the cases. Bush is being held at the Orange County Jail.
