Five Individuals Arrested in High-End Burglary Ring

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach Gardens Police Department, Jupiter Police Department, North Miami Beach Police Department, Miami-Dade Police Department, Boca Raton Police Department, and the Miami-Dade State Attorney Office announce the arrest of five individuals involved in a high-end burglary ring in South Florida. Charges include racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, burglary, theft, dealing in stolen property, money laundering, and witness tampering.

Authorities say the individuals arrested, known as the “Dinner Set Crew,” are allegedly responsible for numerous residential burglaries throughout South Florida. In each incident, the suspects would enter a home, typically through a rear sliding glass door, and steal expensive jewelry including watches, rings, necklaces, gold bracelets, and other high-value items.

Authorities estimate that the value of the jewelry stolen during the burglaries the individuals are being charged for totals more than $2 million.

The following individuals have been arrested: Kane Lopez, 31, of Hallandale, Fla.; Emery Lorenzo, 33, of Miami Lakes, Fla.; Michael Chala, 24, of Miami Lakes, Fla; Silvia Ordonez, 40, of Miami, Fla.; and Lazaro Tenreiro, 39 of Roswell, Ga.

The case remains active and ongoing with additional arrests pending. The case will be prosecuted by the West Palm Beach Office of Attorney General Bill McCollum’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
