Agents Arrest Suwannee County Woman for Distribution of Child Pornography

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Computer Crime Center and investigators with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested Angela Dawn Shillito, 36, of O’Brien, Fla., for possession and distribution of child pornography.

The investigation began May 28 after investigators observed images of child pornography being shared over the Internet. The investigation revealed the images were transmitted from Shillito’s residence.

Shillito was charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography, a third degree felony, and 36 counts of distribution of child pornography, a second-degree felony. She was booked into the Suwannee County Jail.

FDLE is an active member of the three Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces in Florida. There are 59 federally-funded task forces nationwide created solely to investigate Internet crimes against children that include the online sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
