DOC and FDLE Arrest Correctional Officer for Drug Trafficking

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Florida Department of Corrections’ Inspector General’s Office (DOC) arrested Keith Alan Black, 42, a state correctional officer, on Oct. 6, 2008 for trafficking cocaine.

The joint investigation revealed that Black intended to introduce a trafficking quantity of cocaine into the Liberty Correctional Institution. The investigation began Sept. 24.

Black was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine and booked into the Leon County Jail. He faces a minimum mandatory three year sentence and up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation is ongoing.
