FDLE Public Mobile App End-User Terms & Conditions


1. Disclaimer

If you have an emergency, please contact 9-1-1. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) does not process emergency requests through this mobile app. The FDLE public mobile app is not monitored 24 hours a day.

We will work to ensure the app is always available, but we shall not be liable if for any reason the app is not available. Access to the app may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance, or for any reason.

FDLE makes no guarantees, representations or warranties respecting the reliability of any GPS data. This product is not FAA certified and must not be used for primary navigation. The application is not to be used for life safety applications, or for any other application in which the accuracy or reliability could create a situation where personal injury or death may occur.

FDLE specifically disclaims any and all liability, including without limitation, consequential and incidental damages, that may arise in any way from the use of this app or related data.

2. License Agreement

FDLE’s logo and use is protected by law and may not be used without express written permission.

The app and all copyright, database rights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights belong to FDLE or our licensors.

You may be charged by your service provider for downloading and/or accessing the app on your mobile phone, tablet, or other handheld device. These may include data roaming charges if you use this outside your home territory. These charges are solely your responsibility.

By using this mobile application, GPS technology may determine your current location in order to display a location map with relevant information. If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth, you should turn off the location services for the FDLE Mobile App located in your account settings.

You can discontinue use of the application by uninstalling the FDLE Mobile App. You may use the standard uninstall processes that are available as part of your mobile device.

All information provided through this application is public record. Extreme care should be exercised in using any information obtained from this application. Neither FDLE nor the State of Florida shall be responsible for any errors or omissions produced by secondary dissemination of this information.

3. Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the FDLE Mobile Application for mobile devices. The mobile app provides public access to the data and services provided by FDLE. FDLE provides the information to be used only for lawful purposes. Any misuse of the information contained within the application may subject the user to civil and/or criminal penalties.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is an administrative agency of the State of Florida. As such, FDLE is subject to Florida Public Records Law as defined by Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. 

All users of FDLE web sites and web-accessible systems should be aware that Florida Public Records Law may require FDLE to disclose any records that the agency has made or received in the course of conducting state business, unless there is a specific legal basis for maintaining the privacy of the requested records.

With respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, it is not the intent of the FDLE to sell information. It is FDLE’s intent to comply with applicable federal law, state law, policies, and administrative rules.

FDLE web sites and web-accessible systems may automatically gather information to help the FDLE improve the content of its web sites, manage the use of network resources, and enforce acceptable use policies. This information will normally be limited to the internet domain of the user, IP address of the user, browser platform being used, date and time of access, and web pages accessed. Specific web sites or web-accessible systems may capture more extensive information.
 

4. Changes

Updates may occur from time to time. You are advised to consult this area regularly for any changes.
