Jessica Lunsford Act Information

In order to facilitate background screening required by the Jessica Lunsford Act, the Florida Legislature directed FDLE to develop a system to allow the sharing of certain criminal history information among school districts. This system, known as the Florida Shared School Results (FSSR) System, became available to school districts in September, 2005. The purpose of the FSSR System is to reduce the redundancy of background screenings for those contractors who do business with multiple school districts in the state. Contractors may contact the school district(s) they are affiliated with to obtain more information about the background screening process.
