FDLE Internship Program

Thank you for submitting you application to the FDLE Internship Program.

You will recieve a copy of the information you submitted at the email address that you provided. Please retain this information for your records.

You do not need to provide a copy of your birth certificate, social security card,
driver license, or certified college transcripts at this point in the process.

FDLE requires all interns to successfully pass a drug screen and thorough background investigation, which includes criminal history, driver license record, employment history, personal references, and financial credit checks..

The steps of the selection process are as follows:
  1. The internship application package is completed and submitted.
  2. An interview is conducted with prospective interns.
  3. A preliminary background check is performed for recommended applicants.
  4. If selected, the applicant completes the drug test and fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is completed at FDLE and drug testing is coordinated through FDLE with our contracted laboratory. This is a standard process for all new hires and intern candidates.

If something is disclosed in the application or background forms that would
automatically prevent you from being an intern with FDLE you will be notified.

Thank You,

FDLE Internship Program Coordinator
