The Cyber Crime unit is part of the FDLE's Office of Investigative Support Services. This unit provides investigative operations support to each of FDLE's seven regional computer crime units as it relates to complex computer related crimes and cyber-attacks against corporate and state infrastructure. Additionally we work with, Florida citizens, businesses and government employees throughout the state on computer crime awareness as well as answering citizen complaints.
This position will research, review, analyze and evaluate activity, trends, and pertinent data within the cyber environment and the Internet community under the supervision of full-time staff. The results of this research are disseminated to FDLE management and other key individuals within state of Florida government including its citizens and business community. Cyber-crime interns will create cyber related intelligence products as well as receive exposure to investigating computer related crimes, conducting computer and mobile device forensics, managing network infrastructures, and perform other duties as required.
Note: This internship is open to applicants with a major in Computer Criminology, Cyber Security or an equivalent major.
