UCR Definition

The Florida Uniform Crime Reports program defines robbery as the unlawful taking or attempting to take anything of value under confrontational circumstances from the control, custody, or care of another person by force, threat of force, violence, and/or by putting the property custodian in fear.

There were 18,583 robbery offenses  reported in 2017.  Firearms were used in 7,724 of the  robberies reported.

There were 6,388 arrests for robbery in 2017.  Of these arrests, 1,545 were juveniles and 4,843 were adults.
