UCR Definition


The Florida Uniform Crime Reports program defines Arson as unlawful and intentional damage, or attempt to damage, of any real or personal property by fire or incendiary device.

Summary


Florida had 1,212 UCR arson offenses reported in 2018. 841 arsons occurred in inhabited property.  285 arsons occurred in abandoned property.  86 arsons occurred in an attempted property.

There were a total of 247 arrests for arson reported to the Florida UCR program.  Of these arrests, 57 were juveniles and 190 were adults.
