Report a Computer Crime
First - Report the Crime to your Local Police Department or Sheriff's Office.
Local law enforcement agencies respond to complaints from citizens within their own jurisdiction and are the first contact you should make. You can find contact information for your city police department or county sheriff's office on
FDLE's website.
If you are the victim of Internet fraud, you should also contact the
Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Many computer crime cases involve multiple jurisdictions that may be outside of Florida. The FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center have partnered to form the IC3, whose mission is to address fraud committed over the Internet. Complaints involving a crime in Florida may be forwarded by the IC3 to another applicable law enforcement agency.
Before reporting a crime to the FDLE Cyber Bureau, please click on the “Common Complaints” option above and follow the instructions for the particular crime.
