May 2011 – Washington County
An AMBER Alert was issued for an 18 month-old who was allegedly abudcted in the early morning hours by his grandfather. Information gained from investigative efforts led to a request for an expansion of the AMBER Alert activation to Tennessee. A motorist in Kentucky heard the alert on the radio and later phoned police when he spotted the vehicle on the highway. The child was recovered safely.
