The Capitol Police Communications Section is a 24/7 operation which is responsible for answering and initiating all calls for police and security services at the Capitol and other facilities within the Capitol Complex.Capitol Police Communication Units

Capitol Police Communication UnitsDuty Officers assigned to the Communications Center monitor numerous surveillance and camera systems, fire and intrusion alarm systems, as well as door access systems for the Capitol Building, Holland Building, Pepper Building, and the Capital Circle Office Center (CCOC).

The Communications Center provides continuous communications between the Duty Officers and Law Enforcement and Security Officers while on their patrols, as well as providing access to FCIC/NCIC inquiries. The Communications Center Duty Officers receive and handle several hundred calls per day from citizens and state employees requesting information or assistance.
