  • All Visitors Must Be Screened Through Security Checkpoints
  • No Weapons Or Hazardous Materials Are Allowed in the Capitol
  • No Sealed Envelopes or Packages Can Be Brought Into the Capitol Building
  • Show Up Early For Appointments
  • Be Patient With Security


Access Cards

Access cards are issued by the Capitol Police to state officials, state employees and other authorized persons for identification and security purposes. These cards are required for uninhibited access through security checkpoints at the Capitol Complex.

Anyone who needs Capitol Complex access is required to submit an FDLE Capitol Police Capitol Complex Access Card application. This procedure applies for a new card, replacement card or an updated access card. The application is available at the ID Card Office located in Room P-3 of the Capitol. If you have any questions about obtaining an access card or renewing an expired card, please call 850.487.6216 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm EST, Monday through Friday.

To report a lost or stolen card, please call the Florida Capitol Police at 850.488.1790, 24 hours a day.
