Reserve Law Enforcement Officer Requirements
  • Must Have Completed One of the Following:

    Completed a Florida Law Enforcement Academy and received a passing score on the State of Florida Law Enforcement Certification Examination, and eligible to receive law enforcement certification.

    Completed the Florida Equivalency of Training (CJSTC 76) and received a passing score on the State of Florida Law Enforcement Certification Examination, and eligible to receive law enforcement certification.   • U.S. Citizen
  • At Least 19 Years of Age
  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School Graduate / G.E.D.
  • Good Moral Character
Employment Process
  • Complete and Submit Supplemental Packet
  • Oral Interview / Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
  • Background Investigation
  • Physical
  • Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
  • Psychological Evaluation
  • Drug Screen

  • NOTE: When a vacancy occurs for the reserve law enforcement officer position, the duration of the employment process could take approximately two to six months once an application is received.


Performance Requirements

16 Hours of Volunteer Work Per Month
