  • Basic Abilities Test (BAT) - During the 2000 session, the Florida Legislature passed House Bill 1481 requiring applicants entering into a criminal justice basic recruit program to successfully pass a Commission-approved basic abilities test.
  • Equivalency - The Equivalency of Training (EOT) process is for Out-of-State/Federal Officers and/or previously certified Florida officers with a four year or more break-in-service pursuant to section 943131(2), Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) 11B-35.009(4)(5). The Equivalency of Training process is an avenue by which an officer can request an exemption from the full academy.
  • Employment Requirements - Minimum qualifications that an applicant must possess in order to be eligible for certification as a sworn criminal justice officer in the State of Florida.
  • Global Profile Sheet - To obtain a copy of your Global Profile Sheet which reflects the your criminal justice employment, certification, and training, click on “Request Profile” after following the Global Profile Sheet link.

The decision to provide your SSN is at your option, but failure to provide your SSN may result in a delay in processing your application or request. If you provide your SSN, FDLE will use it for purposes of identification, and may share the information with other agencies for the same purpose. FDLE’s request for your SSN is authorized by state law because use of it is imperative for FDLE to fulfill its lawful duties and responsibilities.
